Speed – Precision – Peak Performance
From July 19 to 29, 2029, approximately 4,000 athletes from more than 100 countries are expected to gather in Karlsruhe to compete at the highest level at The World Games (TWG2029). In designing the sports program, particular emphasis was placed on sustainability and emotional appeal: The World Games 2029 Karlsruhe will primarily feature sports that can be held in existing sports facilities, supplemented by a few temporary venues in the heart of the city. In addition, the mix of trendy and traditional sports is intended to thrill fans from around the world.
The First Sports for The World Games 2029 Karlsruhe
In the first phase, the following 30 sports were selected; the full sports program will not be finalized until sometime in 2026: In a second phase, the invitation-only sports and specific disciplines will be selected, which will include para-sports, among others.
