Discipline: Skydiving
Skydiving uses small and highly agile skydiving parachutes. Athletes accelerate their parachutes through steep turns before levelling out over a stretch of water and entering the course. Competitions are held over water for safety reasons. A Mixed competition tests Accuracy, Speed and Distance, plus Freestyle, where athletes perform tricks with their body and parachute while in contact with the water. Athletes have three attempts on each course, with all twelve results counting towards the final standings.
